First Verse.
All the children in the ring are squirrels. They frolic about, crouch down, kneel while sitting up straight, pretending to hold nuts in their hands which they bite or crack with teeth. They stoop over as if gathering nuts, jump to their feet and make the motions of climbing a tree and tucking nuts in hole.
Second Verse. They crouch, or lie down as if asleep on bed of leaves; they awaken, crawl about a little, then stand and frisk about as at beginning of song.
Spring Song.

Sunshine comes softly into the centre of ring and going softly about touches the daisy, buttercup, and points to the bluebird flying about the ring near tree wTith nest.
Second Verse.
The streamlet now comes rippling along, followed by the breeze, who blows and puffs softly about. She finally stops in front of willow tree, who then pretends to put on her leaves.
